Bike Month flyer

May is National Bike Month! From May 1-31, riders everywhere have one mission – to get more people riding than ever before.

Trailblazers activates Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas for Bike Month by offering programming, corporate contests, and prizes via the Bike Month Challenge on LoveToRide.net. The workplaces with the highest percentage of staff riding will top the leaderboards, and individuals will earn chances to win prizes simply by riding their bikes and encouraging others. It’s totally free to take part and everyone is invited to join the fun! Here’s how to start earning prizes that are…off the chain:

  • Register on LoveToRide
  • Connect your Strava profile to LoveToRide to track activities
  • Ride your bike for 10+ minutes and log your miles
  • Recruit friends & colleagues

 

LoveToRide is not just for Bike Month or for individuals who work at companies participating in the Bike Month Challenge! Year-round, you can use LoveToRide to:

  • Log rides
  • Set yourself biking goals
  • Ace our quick courses
  • Read our tips articles
  • Keep track of your riding stats
  • Send and receive high fives
  • Share your story and read other people’s

 

Here are some suggestions on ways to get involved with your friends and/or co-workers during Bike Month:

  • Ride to meet up for coffee or to your favorite restaurant
  • Lead a bike ride over lunch break at work
  • Ride around the neighborhood with the family
  • Ride with the kids to school
  • Go bike packing
  • Train to ride a century (100 miles)
  • Enjoy the Razorback Greenway or the greenway at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve (Bentonville)
  • Try a new kind of cycling – road, gravel, mountain biking, BMX

 

Don’t forget to ride your bike on National Bike to Work Day (Friday, May 19) and log your commute! Whether you ride mountain bike trails, gravel, or road, you’re encouraged to take part in this challenge and rack up the miles! Not sure where to start? She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas and has five years of marketing experience in tourism and economic development.
